Fantasy Football Prop Picks for Monkey Knife Fight: Saints vs Vikings (Christmas Day)

Gage Bridgford analyzes the Week 16 Friday Night Football matchup between the Saints and the Vikings and offers his favorite prop picks and over/under bets for Monkey Knife Fight.

The NFL season is back, and we cannot waste our opportunity to make some cash. We’ve seen crazy upsets so far, and we’ve seen a lot of money won. Tonight, we have another shot with the New Orleans Saints playing host to the Minnesota Vikings.

On MKF, there are no massive tournaments where you have to get ridiculously lucky just to cash. You're just playing against the house, and the dudes at MKF have fallen all over themselves to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money.

As always, there are some solid props we can look to take advantage of so let's take a look at what this game has in store for us tonight!

Editor's Note: The FFPC Baby Gorilla Tournament is now open, featuring a $100,000 grand prize and a $675,450 total prize pool! This 12-team, Tight End Premium contest uses a 20-round draft format, with the overall winners determined by total points scored during Weeks 15–17. Saints vs Vikings: More or Less Contest

Despite having one of the best offensive lines in football, the Saints don’t rely on the run heavily. As a result, you’re going to feature more passing from Drew Brees, and he’s going to be able to move the ball frequently against this Vikings’ defense. The Vikings are allowing an average of 252.4 passing yards per game, so Brees only has to perform slightly above average to clear this mark.

Vikings’ quarterback Kirk Cousins has aired it out on occasion this year, but this doesn’t figure to be one of those outings. The Saints allow an average of just 210.9 passing yards per game to opposing passing teams. This number is also set a little high for my personal liking. He’s cleared this mark about eight times this year, but the team doesn’t want to throw the ball a ton if they don’t have to. Against a Saints’ team that has a less than 100 percent Drew Brees, it figures to be a close game without a ton of running.

Saints vs Vikings: More or Less Contest

Going under on this mark is for a couple of reasons. One of them is expecting Cousins to go under his total. Another reason is that teammate Justin Jefferson has been firmly dominating the workload recently. Thielen has also been lining up frequently outside which will match him up with cornerback Marshon Lattimore who is the clear best cornerback in this game for either team. Jefferson may eat, but the same can not be said for Thielen.

Kamara is a problem for everybody. His receiving ability will be heavily featured in this game, but his rushing work should be decent as well. The Vikings allow over 120 yards per game on the ground, so the Saints can get Kamara right around his usual workload which will get him to clear this mark. Even if Latavius Murray gets some work, Kamara can get to this number.

Saints vs Vikings: Rapid Fire Contest

  • Drew Brees COVERS 7.5 passing yards over Kirk Cousins & Justin Jefferson COVERS 7.5 receiving yards over Adam Thielen

We’ve already talked about both of these in some aspect, but we’ll rehash it a little bit. Brees covering Cousins is the one to have more confidence in. He has the better matchup, and he plays for a team that prefers to throw the ball over running. Jefferson covering over Thielen has to do with his matchup. Jefferson will likely be seeing more of Janoris Jenkins and Chauncey Gardner-Johnson which he has the matchup advantage in over Thielen going up against Lattimore.
