Week 4 Wide Receiver Outlooks for Fantasy Football
Jaylen Waddle, Denver Broncos
Denver Broncos wide receiver Jaylen Waddle failed to follow up a massive Week 2 performance with another fruitful effort in Week 3. Waddle finished a win over the Los Angeles Rams with just two receptions on seven targets, totaling 10 yards receiving and adding one carry for 14 yards rushing.
Outside of his 10-reception, 138-yard performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2, Waddle has finished with just three receptions for 12 yards in his team's other two matchups.
The Broncos take on the San Francisco 49ers in Week 4, whose pass defense allowed Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Wilson to record 11 receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown last week. Waddle is RotoBaller's 22nd-ranked wide receiver and is projected to score 11 fantasy points against San Francisco.
Makai Lemon, Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Makai Lemon should have a bigger role in his team's offense with both wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and tight end Dallas Goedert (knee) ruled out for their Week 4 game.
The Eagles will take on the Los Angeles Rams without their WR1 and TE1, meaning Lemon, their first-round draft pick in 2026, should see a heavily expanded role. Lemon has been one of the worst WRs in football, efficiency-wise, through three games -- he's caught just seven passes for 38 yards, averaging three targets per game and under 13 receiving yards per contest.
He has yet to reach the end zone, and almost impressively finished his NFL debut with negative yardage. He hasn't established much of a connection with quarterback Jalen Hurts, though film shows him getting open on multiple occasions and not getting the ball.
It's difficult to predict how he might play in Week 4, as rookies tend to improve as the season goes along. He's a very risky speculative WR3 start, though in most leagues, he's better left on the bench until he shows some real upside in the pros.
Jameson Williams, Detroit Lions
Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams has not quite gotten going in the early part of the 2026 season, recording 10 catches for 127 yards and zero touchdowns on 17 targets across three games. The 25-year-old has taken a back seat in his team's passing game so far, ranking fourth on the Lions in targets behind wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, running back Jahmyr Gibbs, and tight end Sam LaPorta. As long as all of Detroit's main pass-catchers stay healthy, Williams may have trouble providing fantasy managers with consistent production.
Still, Williams' big-play ability makes him a threat to go off in any given week. Week 4 might be a decent time for fantasy managers to bet on Williams, as he will take on the Carolina Panthers. Carolina has allowed the fifth-fewest yards per pass attempt (6.1) in the NFL through three weeks, but they also placed starting cornerbacks Jaycee Horn (quad) and Mike Jackson (groin) on Injured Reserve on Wednesday.
In a relatively favorable matchup on paper, Williams profiles as a high-end WR3/flex option for fantasy managers in Week 4.
Emeka Egbuka, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Emeka Egbuka has not lived up to expectations during the first three weeks of the season. It's unlikely to get better with Baker Mayfield (thumb) going down for at least three weeks. Now, the Bucs turn to undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels to lead this offensive unit. Fantasy managers should expect most of the offensive-skilled players to take a hit with Daniels under center.
Egbuka saw a season-high nine targets last week, but we'll see if the Bucs continue throwing his way as frequently this weekend. Given the downgrade at QB, fantasy managers should consider Egbuka a WR3 for the upcoming matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
