San Francisco 49ers principal owner Jed York has been suspended for six games and fined $500,000 for violating the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy, per Tom Pelissero of The Ringer. York was arrested in Ohio in August on suspicion of engaging in prostitution. The original charges were then amended to disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools, to which York has since pleaded no contest. York took over as the owner, president, and CEO of the 49ers in 2009. Under his control, San Francisco has compiled a 150-129-1 record and made the playoffs eight times, including three Super Bowl appearances. Pelissero reports that York has "stayed away" from the 49ers' first three games, which count towards his suspension. He is first eligible to return to the team on October 20.--Will Brady
