Rookie Superflex Fantasy Football Rankings

Fernando Mendoza, Las Vegas Raiders

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Fernando Mendoza spent most of minicamp working with the third-team offense, as he did during organized team activities. While praising him for his work ethic and attitude, head coach Klint Kubiak has made it clear that the first overall pick of the 2026 NFL Draft will not just be handed starting reps. With veterans Kirk Cousins and Aidan O'Connell still ahead of him on the unofficial depth chart, the next month and a half before teams gather again for training camp will be a critical stage in Mendoza's development.

An opportunity to lead the second-team offense should come early in camp, but from there, Mendoza will need to continue demonstrating growth to push for a starting job that will need to be earned rather than assumed. While the playmakers in Vegas are not necessarily a deep group outside of tight end Brock Bowers and running back Ashton Jeanty, it's clear the team is doing all it can to set Mendoza up for long-term success, and at RotoBaller's dynasty QB17, he is worthy of an early selection in superflex rookie drafts.

Ty Simpson, Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams selection of Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson with the 13th pick of the 2026 NFL Draft went down as one of the biggest surprises of Day 1, but now that the dust has settled, Simpson's long-term dynasty appeal has grown more obvious. Since the draft, the Rams have agreed with Matthew Stafford on an extension that appears to keep the reigning MVP in Los Angeles through the 2027 season.

With the Rams also trading away a handful of picks to continue bolstering a win-now roster, 2028 could serve as a natural transition season and a chance to begin building a team around Simpson after he's had two years to develop behind the scenes. While he may not have the immediate impact of some of the other rookies in his class, if the Rams believe they have their quarterback of the future, the franchise has a proven record of investing around their guy.

The 23-year-old signal-caller is one of the safest bets to hold value over the next two seasons, and at RotoBaller's dynasty QB26, Simpson could turn into one of the smarter long-term investments as a late-first-round pick in superflex rookie drafts.

Jadarian Price, Seattle Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks first-round pick Jadarian Price continues to be the second running back to take reps with the starting unit, as he was in voluntary practice sessions, still sliding in behind third-year back George Holani. However, for the first time this spring, he was seen handling entire drives with the first-team offense.

Unexpectedly, 2023 second-round pick Zach Charbonnet was spotted doing low-impact drills with trainers on Tuesday, marking the first time he's been seen on the field since his season-ending ACL tear in a Divisional Round win over the 49ers and signaling that he could be closer to a return than initially speculated.

With Charbonnet on the final year of his rookie contract, the belief is that Seattle's lead back responsibilities will eventually be turned over to Price, but with Charbonnet potentially back in the fold earlier than anticipated, and the rookie still needing to earn his way to the top, the backfield situation in Seattle has the potential to become a frustrating one for fantasy in 2026.

Elijah Sarratt, Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore Ravens rookie wide receiver Elijah Sarratt fell to the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft after some projected that he could go as early as the second round. The 23-year-old was one of the stars of the University of Indiana's national championship-winning team in 2025, recording 65 catches for 830 yards and 15 touchdowns across 14 games. Despite the draft-day slide, Sarratt may have found himself in an ideal NFL landing spot in Baltimore.

The Ravens have Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman firmly atop their wide receiver depth chart, but Sarratt should enter training camp in a competition with Devontez Walker and 2026 third-round Ja'Kobi Lane for the team's WR3 role. Baltimore also lost a big-bodied red zone threat over the offseason in tight end Isaiah Likely, who signed with the New York Giants in free agency. If Sarratt can emerge as a trusted target of Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, he should have plenty of chances to produce in a strong Baltimore offense. Sarratt profiles as a high-upside dynasty sleeper ahead of his rookie season with the Ravens.

Roman Hemby, Las Vegas Raiders

Despite recording 1,285 scrimmage yards and seven touchdowns on 245 touches while winning a national championship during his final collegiate season at the University of Indiana, running back Roman Hemby went unpicked in the 2026 NFL Draft. However, the 23-year-old signed as an undrafted free agent with the Las Vegas Raiders and could be in position to earn a roster spot with Las Vegas in training camp. Ashton Jeanty is firmly atop the Raiders running back depth chart and should dominate backfield touches for the team in 2026.

Still, Hemby looks to be fighting with the unproven running back trio of Mike Washington Jr.Dylan Laube, and Chris Collier for the RB2 role behind Jeanty. Because of his status as a UDFA, Hemby should be viewed as a long shot to carve out a fantasy-relevant role. At the same time, the situation around Hemby in Las Vegas could make him a worthy deep-league dart throw for dynasty managers.
