Super Saturday Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em (Week 16) - Christian Watson, Jalen Hurts, DJ Moore, AJ Brown, Deebo Samuel, Chris Rodriguez, D'Andre Swift, Jayden Reed, Dallas Goedert, more

Christian Watson - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Super Saturday fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks and lineups advice for the Saturday slate in Week 16 -- Eagles vs. Commanders and Packers vs. Bears Saturday games.

There will be two games played on Saturday in Week 16. Both are divisional matchups between two NFC divisions. The first is between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Commanders, and the second is between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears.

These early games mean fantasy managers will have to set their lineups a day earlier. There are plenty of fantasy-relevant players in these games, and some difficult start/sit decisions have to be made.

So, let's dive into the start/sits for these two Saturday games in Week 16. Be sure to also check out our full article for Week 16 fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks and all other Week 16 matchups.

Matchups Analysis - Saturday 5:00 EST Game

Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Commanders

Matchups We Love

QB Jalen Hurts

Jalen Hurts is in a prime position to have a strong fantasy performance in Week 16. The Commanders have given up the sixth-most fantasy points and third-most passing touchdowns to opposing QBs this season and have allowed a top-10 fantasy QB finish in seven of their last nine games. Therefore, Hurts will be a must-start QB1.

RB Saquon Barkley

Saquon Barkley appears to be heating up. He has totaled over 17 PPR fantasy points in back-to-back games and has rushed for over 75 yards in consecutive weeks for the first time this season. Now, he gets a fantastic matchup against a Commanders defense that has given up the sixth-most rush yards to RBs this season. That makes Barkley a must-start RB1.

Eagles WRs

Both A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith have plus matchups this week. That makes both of them strong starts in all formats. The Commanders have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to WRs this year, and this secondary has allowed multiple teammates to score over 16 PPR fantasy points in the same game this year. Amon-Ra St. Brown (16.8 PPR fantasy points) and Jameson Williams (23.9 fantasy points) recently did it in Week 10.

So, Brown will be a must-start WR1, while Smith will be a solid WR2 play. There is potential for both Eagles playmakers to finish with solid fantasy numbers in Week 16.

TE Dallas Goedert

Dallas Goedert has logged back-to-back strong fantasy performances. He scored 15.8 PPR fantasy points in Week 14 and then scored 25 PPR fantasy points last week against the Raiders. Therefore, Goedert will be a solid TE1 option in most leagues this week. The Commanders have struggled to defend opposing TEs this year, as they have allowed eight TEs to score in double figures in PPR formats since Week 7.

Matchups We Hate

QB Marcus Mariota

Marcus Mariota has been a sneaky QB1 fantasy option in recent weeks. He has finished as a top-12 fantasy QB in three of his last four starts and just ran for 43 yards in last week's win over the Giants. However, Mariota will be an extremely risky QB2 play this week against the Eagles. Philadelphia has allowed just one QB to score above 13.5 fantasy points since Week 9.

WR Terry McLaurin

Terry McLaurin has resumed his WR1 duties in this Washington offense. He has scored above 15 PPR fantasy points in two of his last three games and has a whopping 28.7% target share over the last three weeks. The bad news for him, though, is that Quinyon Mitchell will likely shadow him on the outside. Mitchell ranks second among all CBs in fantasy points allowed per target, making McLaurin more of a WR3.

WR Deebo Samuel Sr.

Deebo Samuel hasn't been a reliable fantasy option since McLaurin's return to the field. He has finished outside the top 30 at the WR position in three straight games and has totaled under 45 receiving yards in consecutive games. To make matters worse, he'll be going up against Cooper DeJean in the slot. The Eagles rank 32nd in fantasy points allowed to opposing slot WRs. So, Samuel is a lower-end flex option.

Potential Starts For Fantasy Football Lineups

RB Chris Rodriguez Jr.

Chris Rodriguez Jr. will return in Week 16 after practicing in full on Tuesday. Although he missed last week's game, Rodriguez should resume his RB1 duties in this Washington backfield. He has seen double-digit carries in each of his last three contests. However, the Commanders' RB is only worth a look in deeper 16-plus team leagues this week. His snap share hasn't topped 45% this season.

Matchups Analysis - Saturday 8:20 EST Game

Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears

Matchups We Love

WR Jayden Reed

Since returning from injury, Jayden Reed has scored 9.3 PPR fantasy points (Week 14) and 10.5 PPR fantasy points (Week 15). Although he managed to total only four catches for 31 yards in his first meeting with the Bears two weeks ago, Reed only played 47% of the team's snaps in that game. With his snap share continuing to increase, he will be a solid WR3 option in Week 16. Chicago has allowed the most fantasy points to slot WRs this year.

Matchups We Hate

RB D'Andre Swift

D'Andre Swift has seen more opportunities on the ground in recent games. He has seen at least 18 carries in two of the past three weeks, which has helped him finish as a top-10 fantasy RB twice during that span. For this week, Swift will be a lower-end RB2 in a tough matchup. He only scored 11.2 PPR fantasy points in the first meeting against the Packers, and Green Bay has allowed just two RBs to finish top-12 at the position this year.

Potential Starts For Fantasy Football Lineups

QB Jordan Love

Jordan Love cooked the Bears' secondary the last time these two teams played back in Week 14. He threw for 234 yards and three touchdowns en route to a 20.3 fantasy point day. Therefore, Love could be a low-end QB1 option in some 12-plus team leagues this week. Chicago has given up the fifth-most passing touchdowns through 15 weeks.

QB Caleb Williams

Caleb Williams has been a very up-and-down QB1 option this season. He has finished outside the top 14 at the QB position in three straight games and has scored above 20 fantasy points just three times since Week 4. So, Williams is only worth a look as a QB1 in 16-plus team leagues. After scoring only 15.9 fantasy points against the Packers back in Week 14, he might be better suited for Superflex formats.

RB Josh Jacobs

Josh Jacobs continues to play through a knee injury. Assuming he suits up in Week 16, Jacobs should be in all fantasy lineups. He scored two touchdowns last week and has scored a touchdown in 10 of his 13 games this season. If he winds up missing this week's contests, Emanuel Wilson becomes a solid RB1 play. Wilson saw 30 touches in the one game that Jacobs missed back in Week 12.

WR DJ Moore

The Bears' WR room is dealing with injuries to Rome Odunze and Luther Burden III. Both WRs will miss this week's game against the Packers. That leaves DJ Moore as the potential WR1 for Chicago in Week 16. Moore now creeps into low-end WR2 status. He has totaled over 20 PPR fantasy points in two of the past four weeks.

WR Christian Watson

Although Christian Watson had an injury scare last week, all signs point to him being able to play in Week 16. Therefore, Watson will come in as a potential WR3 option in 12-plus team leagues. He has finished as a top-12 fantasy WR in three of his last five games and managed to total 89 yards and two touchdowns against the Bears back in Week 14. Chicago has also given up the third-most receiving touchdowns to WRs this year.

WR Romeo Doubs

Romeo Doubs should be avoided in most formats this week. He has finished outside the top 36 at the WR position in five of the past six weeks and didn't catch any passes in the team's last meeting against the Bears in Week 14. With only five combined targets over the past two games, Doubs should be sat in almost all leagues.

TE Colston Loveland

Colston Loveland's fantasy value is on the rise. The rookie TE has scored in double figures in PPR formats in three of the last four weeks and has totaled at least four receptions in five of his previous seven games. Considering his target share has hovered around 18% in the second half of the season, Loveland will be a low-end TE1 this week. The Packers just let Loveland finish as the overall TE9 two weeks ago.
