Quarterback (QB) Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks for Week 10 (2025)

Jared Goff - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL DFS Picks

Matt's quarterback (QB) fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 10 of 2025. His QB lineups advice for Week 10 fantasy football start/sit decisions.

It is hard to believe we are heading into Week 10 of the NFL season. That means there are five more weeks for managers to jostle for positioning in an attempt to qualify for their fantasy playoffs.

Unfortunately, with Cam Ward, Joe Flacco, Dak Prescott, and Patrick Mahomes all sitting this week out due to byes and Jayden Daniels out due to injury, fantasy managers must find affordable options on the waiver wire or via trade. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than be good. You could also hope that Geno Smith drops 27.3 fantasy points again this week, but I wouldn't recommend that.

Here are your Week 10 starts and sits for the quarterback position.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Week 10 - Fantasy Football Booms

Caleb Williams - QB, Chicago Bears vs New York Giants

How about Williams in Week 9, throwing for 280 yards, tossing three touchdowns, and rushing for 53 yards, finishing the week with 36.7 fantasy points and the top spot among fantasy quarterbacks. In what was arguably the best fantasy matchup for a quarterback last week, Williams produced, and he will get a chance to repeat that performance with another great matchup on the docket for Week 10.

Since Week 5, New York has allowed opposing quarterbacks 23.9 fantasy points per game while surrendering 241.6 passing yards per contest and two touchdown passes per game. Williams has been inconsistent thus far this season, but one area where he has been consistent is producing against good matchups. Williams has four top-10 fantasy finishes, and they have come against Cincinnati, Dallas, Minnesota, and Washington, all of which have been among fantasy's friendliest since Week 5.

Last week, Mac Jones, the 49ers' healthiest option, completed 19 of 24 passes for 235 yards and a pair of touchdowns against this Giants defense. While Jones has been serviceable in Brock Purdy's absence, Williams is another tier or wo ahead of the former Alabama product when it comes to fantasy production.

Jared Goff - QB, Detroit Lions at Washington Commanders

On Sunday Night Football, Sam Darnold had his way with this Commanders secondary, completing 87.5% of his passes while throwing to Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Tory Horton, and some random dudes off the practice squad. To make matters worse, Daniels appeared to have tweaked his hamstring once more and, to rub salt in a very fresh wound, dislocated his elbow in meaningless minutes to conclude that contest.

Daniels is the type of quarterback who can keep opposing defenses off the field; Marcus Mariota, not so much. Mariota has played significant minutes in four contests, including two starts in weeks seven and eight. Since Week 6, opposing quarterbacks have thrown a league-best 11 touchdown passes and have accumulated a 123.3 passer rating against this Commanders unit.

If Mariota fails to keep the ball out of Goff's hands, the Lions' Pro Bowl quarterback could improve upon the 24.1 fantasy points per game the Commanders have yielded over their previous four games. Unlike Darnold, Goff has a full complement of passing options heading into this one. Expect Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Sam LaPorta, and Jahmyr Gibbs to all get into the action. While 17.5 fantasy points per game is more than acceptable, it has been below the standard Goff set for himself in 2024, when he averaged 19.7 fantasy points per game. This is one of those stat-padding games, if Dan Campbell chooses to allow it.

Matthew Stafford - QB, Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers

After finishing 2024 as the QB30 and averaging a woeful 23.9 fantasy points per game, Stafford has once again established himself as one of the best Quarterbacks in fantasy and the NFL.

Heading into Week 10 action, Stafford leads the NFL in passing with 2,147 yards, averaging 7.8 yards per attempt. More impressive than anything, his 21 touchdowns to just two interceptions are the stuff of legends. It's insane that his 21 touchdowns are three more than Justin Herbert's, but he has just two interceptions on 274 passing attempts in mid-blowing. Having Davante Adams and Puka Nacua certainly helps, and they have been a significant factor in a resurgence that has led to 20.4 fantasy points per game (QB8) and 25 or more fantasy points in four of his last five contests.

It's been just one month since Stafford last faced the 49ers. Back on that Thursday Night Football showdown, Stafford casually completed 30 of 47 passes for 389 yards and a trifecta of touchdown passes, leading to one of those 25-point fantasy performances. Since that contest, San Francisco has allowed 20.7 fantasy points per game thanks to the 1,006 passing yards and seven touchdowns conceded over four contests.

Week 10 - Fantasy Football Busts

Trevor Lawrence - QB, Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans

Don't look now, but the battle to slide into QB1 territory is heating up. From Jordan Love, who currently sits 11th in fantasy scoring with 17.9 fantasy points per game, to Jaxson Dart at 17.1 fantasy points per game, there is a logjam of fringe options that goes six deep -- a logjam that includes Lawrence and his 17.4 fantasy points per game.

Since Week 5, Lawrence has been rather impressive for fantasy managers who were either desperate or willing to take a chance—I'm not sure willing is the proper adjective here. Nonetheless, Lawrence has averaged 21.6 fantasy points over that period, more than Prescott, Daniels, or Baker Mayfield.

As good as Lawrence has been in recent weeks, Houston is where fantasy quarterbacks go to die. While Bo Nix finished last week with 19.5 fantasy points, he completed only 18 of his 37 passing attempts for 173 yards. On the season, Houston is allowing a league-low 12.6 fantasy points per game to opposing signal callers and has been allowing the fourth-fewest passing yards per game (177.5) to date.

With the last spot in the fantasy top-12 up for debate, there are better options available to fantasy managers than plugging Lawrence into their lineups this week against a Houston secondary that also ranks fourth in interceptions with nine.

Aaron Rodgers - QB, Pittsburgh Steelers at Los Angeles Chargers

From the "That Doesn't Look Right" school of thought, may I present Rodgers's 2025 season statistics to you? Rodgers is 21st in passing yards, completing 167 of 243 passing attempts this season for 1,692 yards. Yet, his 17 passing touchdowns trail only Stafford (21) and Herbert (18). Since Week 6, Rodgers has been a viable option in fantasy, averaging 17.7 fantasy points per game.

Over that same period, the Los Angeles Chargers have allowed 795 passing yards and four passing touchdowns over those four contests and own the fifth-lowest fantasy total when facing opposing quarterbacks, allowing 11.9 fantasy points per game.

The Chargers defense has been getting it done up front and on the backend, where they rank inside the top-10 in interceptions (7) and sacks (26). Rodgers has done a good job protecting the ball, throwing just five interceptions this season, while his line has protected him, allowing just 15 sacks through eight contests. With units on both sides of the ball looking to prove themselves, fantasy managers should look elsewhere for a safer option to insert at quarterback this week.

Sam Darnold - QB, Seattle Seahawks vs Arizona Cardinals

Darnold is proving that last season was not an outlier. The Seahawks' signal caller has thrown for 2,084 passing yards (sixth-most) while completing an impressive 70.4% of his passes this season. Along with the passing yardage, Darnold's 16 passing touchdowns are the ninth-most this season, while his 17.8 fantasy points per game have him as a weekly top-12 fringe quarterback for fantasy managers.

In Week 10, Darnold produced 28.2 fantasy points when facing a porous Commanders defense in which he completed 21 of 2 passes for 330 yards and four touchdowns. Due to injuries, he didn't have three of his top five receiving options available. Now that was the Commaders, a defense that has allowed an average of 21.4 fantasy points per game this season, not the Cardinals, a defense on the opposite end of the fantasy spectrum that has allowed 15.9 fantasy points per game.

Since Week 6, Arizona has allowed 15.3 fantasy points per game, the seventh-fewest, allowing 656 passing yards to opposing quarterbacks and just three passing touchdowns in three contests. The last time Darnold met the Cardinals, he was solid, but not special. In September, Darnold produced 16.1 fantasy points by completing 18 passes for 242 yards and a touchdown while being sacked three times.
