Jeremiah Jackson Back in Lineup on Wednesday
Jeremiah Jackson (elbow) is starting at third base and will bat second for the O's on Wednesday against the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates and right-hander Paul Skenes. Jackson was pulled from Tuesday's game at Camden Yards after being plunked in the right elbow by a pitch in the eighth inning. The 25-year-old is only dealing with a bruise, though, allowing him to return to action a day later. The former second-round pick by the Los Angeles Angels in 2018 has looked good in his first 33 major-league games in Baltimore this year, going 38-for-121 (.314) with five long balls, 18 RBI, and 16 runs scored in 127 trips to the plate. Jackson won't be a recommended DFS play, though, while facing one of the best young pitchers in the game in Skenes.
