New York Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas (foot) is "getting better" as he works back from the foot surgery he underwent last October, according to head coach Brian Daboll. The Giants have expressed optimism that Thomas will be ready to go Week 1 against the Washington Commanders. They went most of last season without Thomas, who played in just six games before going under the knife to repair a Lisfranc injury. The Giants have been noticeably better when the former second-team All-Pro has taken the field, but availability has been an issue over the past couple of years. Thomas has appeared in just 16 of 34 games since 2023. James Hudson III has been atop the depth chart at left tackle in Thomas' absence this summer.--Connor Byrne
