J.T. Ginn to Start Rehab Assignment on Thursday
J.T. Ginn (quadriceps) is scheduled to start a minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Las Vegas on Thursday, according to MLB.com. Ginn is getting close to returning after landing on the 15-day injured list on May 20 with a right-quadriceps strain. The 26-year-old hurler also missed time to begin the year with an elbow injury, and he made only four starts before landing back on the shelf. He wasn't particularly effective in his four starts, going 1-2 with a 5.60 ERA (6.35 FIP) with a 1.53 WHIP, 22 strikeouts and six walks in 17 2/3 innings pitched. If Ginn is reinserted back into the A's rotation when he's activated from the IL, he'll mostly be a fantasy option for those in AL-only leagues. In eight outings (six starts) as a rookie in 2024, Ginn went 1-1 with a 4.24 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 29:9 K:BB in 34 inning pitched.
