FanDuel NBA DFS Picks for Today (Wednesday 11/27/24): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Scottie Barnes - Fantasy Basketball Rankings, NBA Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Dan's favorite FanDuel NBA DFS picks for today, Wednesday 11/27/24. His top daily fantasy basketball lineup sleepers and value picks for FanDuel DFS contests.

It's the biggest slate of the season tonight as we have 14 games of NBA action this Thanksgiving Eve! With so many games and potential plays, I'll do my best to help you pare down your player pool before entering tonight's NBA DFS contests on FanDuel.

In today's edition, I recommend some higher-priced players for cash games and GPPs while highlighting some of my favorite value plays and game stacks. Read my buddy Zach Thompson's article for advice on the DraftKings NBA slate!

This article will provide my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 11/27/24. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 7:00 p.m. EST on FanDuel.

FanDuel NBA DFS Core Picks

Ivica Zubac, LAC - C ($7,400)

We have a lot of great plays tonight at the center position, but Zubac stands out to me as one of the best. The Clipper big man has posted 37 and 38 FD points in his last two outings in under 28 minutes of playing time as both games were blowouts (one in favor of LA and one where they got waxed by the Celtics).

Zubac has one of the best matchups on the board tonight as he will face a Washington team that allows the third-most FD points per game to opposing centers. Nikola Vucevic cruised to 19 points and 12 boards in only 28 minutes against them last night and Zubac could crush it tonight if Washington puts up enough resistance for him to get his usual fourth-quarter run.

It's a very safe floor play with plenty of upside for a 50-point ceiling, too.

Scottie Barnes, TOR - SF/PF ($8,800)

Barnes is one of my favorite plays tonight in what should be a close game between two bottom-dwelling teams. The Raptors are still without Immanuel Quickley and will be without guard Gradey Dick tonight, too. That means it should be the Barnes and R.J. Barrett show for Toronto once again leading the offense.

He no longer faces any minutes restrictions as he's been back for three games now, playing 34 and 36 minutes in his last two. He just dropped 31-14-7 on Detroit Monday night and I could see him do something similar here against a bad New Orleans team again tonight. He's got 60+ upside at under 9k, I have to make him a priority on this slate.

Franz Wagner, ORL – SF/PF ($9,700)

Are we still playing Franz Wagner on every slate? Yeah, at this point we are until he's 10k or more. Wagner continues to put up massive numbers as the main offensive threat on an injury-ravaged Orlando team and is playing the type of heavy minutes we love to see in DFS.

He scored only 21 points last time out and still got to 50 FD points by having six combined steals and blocks. He's all over the court on both ends and should have a nice night against a very poor defensive Bulls team tonight that has allowed the sixth-most FD points to opposing power forwards.

Wagner is quite literally doing it all for Orlando right now and I expect him to thrive tonight against the Bulls who are playing the second half of a back-to-back.

Others Under Consideration: LaMelo Ball - PG ($10.400), Jaden Ivey - PG/SG ($7,100), Nikola Jokic - C ($12,300), De'Aaron Fox - PG ($8,700)

FanDuel NBA DFS Tournament Pivots

Dennis Schroder, BKN - PG ($6,900)

I am always looking for some players in the mid-tier who have some high ceilings when it comes to GPP plays. I think Schroder does tonight against the Suns, especially because Brooklyn's leading scorer, Cam Thomas, has already been ruled out.

Schroder's usage rate jumps five points with Thomas off the floor and his assist rate goes through the roof with a 15% increase as well. He's also coming off one of his best games of the season as he poured in 31-5-7 in a big upset of the Warriors on Monday.

Don't sleep on Schroder tonight, he might not be the flashiest play but he has 40+ and even 50+ FD point upside in this spot.

Deni Avdija, POR – SF/PF ($5,800)

Portland is a mess right now when it comes to injuries, that's for sure. Scoot Henderson has been out for a while and is questionable tonight as is Deandre Ayton who has missed a large chunk of time.

Ayton's primary backups in the frontcourt are both out tonight as Robert Wiliams III and Donovan Clingan have both been ruled out. We should get 30+ minutes from Deni tonight and he's proven in the last few games that he is more than capable of picking up the slack as he's notched  41 and 39FD points.

Isaiah Hartenstein, OKC - C ($6,800)

I'm going right back to the OKC big man tonight as my top GPP center. He started and played 31 minutes against Sacramento, piling up 19 points, 10 boards, and four assists. Tonight he gets the Warriors, who allow the most rebounds and assists to opposing big men in the NBA. He's a lock for a double-double and if he can add some defensive stats tonight, he has a massive 50-point ceiling at his affordable price tag.

Others Under Consideration: Karl-Anthony Towns - C ($9,600), Deandre Ayton - C ($6,000), Brandon Miller - SF/PF ($7,800), Jared McCain - PG/SG (6,900)

FanDuel NBA DFS Value Picks

Malik Monk, SAC – PG/SG ($5,100)

Monk returned to action on Monday, scoring 14 points in 26 minutes off the bench. With DeMar DeRozan out tonight, he could see an increase in minutes and get up a few extra shots as well.

Stephon Castle, SAS - PG/SG ($5,600)

I love what the rookie is doing this season and I am so happy that Coach Popovich has embraced him as a starter now alongside the veteran Chris Paul. Castle had 23 points last night against Utah and poured in 22 the last time he faced the Lakers. He's starting to look very comfortable as an NBA player and is a natural as a scorer and passer.

Ty Jerome, CLE – PG/SG ($5,800)

You might think that nearly 6k is too much to pay for the early favorite for the sixth man of the year, but Jerome just went for 50 FD points in the Cavs win over Toronto on Monday. As long as Caris LeVert remains out, Jerome should remain in the "first guard off the bench" role for Cleveland and he is thriving in it. This matchup against Atlanta should be a fast-paced one and I think Jerome does work tonight.

Daniel Gafford, DAL – C ($5,400)

Finally a price increase for Gafford, who has 30+ FD points in three straight games. He should continue to be a primary focus on offense with the second team and is being counted on to help pick up some of the scoring slack with Luka Doncic out.

Malik Beasley, DET – SG/SF ($5,500)

I was all over Beasley on Monday and he looked great in the first quarter, draining his first three shots from behind the arc. But his shooting went cold for the rest of the game as he missed his next 11 attempts from deep and finished with only a 14-2-5 line and 24 FD points.

I consider that his floor in his role and I would expect him to shoot better against the Knicks tonight. New York has allowed the fourth-most three-pointers to wing players and Detroit will need his scoring with Cade Cunnigham set to miss another contest.

Others Under Consideration: Quenton Jackson - SG ($4,300), Tidjane Salaun  - SF/PF ($3,700), Bogdan Bogdanovic - SG/SF ($5,200), Duncan Robinson - SG/SF ($4,200), Kevin Huerter - SG/SF ($4,900)
