NFL DFS Lineup Picks for DraftKings, FanDuel: Preseason Week 3 Fantasy Football (8/25/2024)

Drake Maye - Fantasy Football Rankings, College FB, QB, NFL Draft Sleepers

The top daily fantasy football lineup picks for DraftKings, FanDuel -- NFL preseason Week 3 games on August 25, 2024. Doug's NFL DFS analysis and sleepers picks.

Four weeks, 46 games, and 11 slates down; we have made it to the final slate of the preseason. Tonight’s slate is a triple header starting at 2 p.m. Eastern. Unlike many other slates this preseason, we have a pretty good idea of who should be slinging the rock for most of these games.

Quarterback battles in New England, New Orleans, Arizona, and Denver give us multiple stacking options for our tournaments. While it may be light on volume, this slate should be heavy on fun.

Here you will be provided daily fantasy football picks on FanDuel and DraftKings for the Sunday three-game slate of Week 3 of the NFL preseason on 8/25/24. These NFL DFS lineup picks can vary from high-end players and elite options to backup and contrarian players on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Thanks for reading, and good luck RotoBallers!

Preseason NFL DFS Picks – Quarterbacks

Zach Wilson, DEN vs. ARI

Bo Nix has been named the starter for the Broncos for Week 1, and Jarrett Stidham will most likely be the backup quarterback. Stidham gets the start today but is expected only to get a couple of series. The majority of the snaps will go to Zach Wilson as he hopes to make an impression on the Denver coaching staff.

Volume is key in preseason so the guaranteed snaps that we are getting out of Wilson is more than enough to make him a cash-game favorite tonight. Denver has many receivers fighting for a roster spot who can stack nicely with Wilson in tournaments.

Clayton Tune, ARI at DEN

On the other side of the field from Wilson, the Cardinals are searching for a backup to Kyler Murray. Desmond Ridder was the favorite heading into camp, but Clayton Tune has outplayed him all summer. Tune has been the more accurate quarterback and should be given every opportunity to win the backup job in this game.

This is his second year in this offense, and he has looked far more comfortable this year than he did last year. Because of the uncertainty of the snap share, he is more of a tournament play in a stack with Xavier Weaver than he is a cash-game option.

ALSO CONSIDER: Drake Maye (NE), Jake Haener (NO), Spencer Rattler (NO)

Preseason NFL DFS Picks – Running Backs

Julius Chestnut, TEN at NO

It was expected that Hassan Haskins would lockdown the third running back spot for the Titans, but Julius Chestnut has thrown his name into the ring after another strong summer. Last year, Chestnut was one of the better fantasy plays in the preseason, and he’s looking to finish this year similarly.

He is an excellent pass-catcher out of the backfield and should be given a fair number of snaps to make his case for a roster spot in this game.

JaMycal Hasty, NE at WSH

The Patriots may play some starters tonight, but they will give way to backups relatively early in the game. JaMycal Hasty has made an impression on the team with his pass-catching ability and tough inside running around the goal line.

He is battling Kevin Harris for the third running back position on the team and his play this summer has made a tough decision for the Patriots coaching staff. This should be a game where Hasty is featured prominently as he’s only received a handful of carries in the first two preseason games and the team will want to see what he can do with a bigger workload.

ALSO CONSIDER: Hassan Haskins (TEN), Jordan Mims (NO), Chris Rodriguez Jr. (WSH), Michael Wiley (WSH), Audric Estime (DEN)

Preseason NFL DFS Picks – Wide Receivers

A.T. Perry, NO vs. TEN

A.T. Perry has looked like the best receiver on the field for the Saints all preseason. He has six catches through the first two games and although he seems like a lock for the third wide receiver position in New Orleans, it’s not so set in stone that he won’t play in this game.

His ability in the red zone makes him a touchdown threat and a great tournament play, but the uncertainty surrounding how many snaps he will see keeps him out of cashing consideration

Ja'Lynn Polk, NE at WSH

Drake Maye should get a long look in this game and the team wants to see how he looks with their top wide receiver pick from this year’s draft. Ja'Lynn Polk has played well enough to be considered a starter, but the team has not officially made him one. Tyquan Thornton, K.J. Osborn, and Demario Douglas are ahead of him on the team’s depth chart, which means he still may have something to prove in this game.

Polk has caught five passes this summer, but he’s yet to show off the big-play ability that made him a star at the University of Washington last year. The opportunity to make those big plays put him in a position to be a one-off in tournaments or as part of a patriots stack.

Troy Franklin, DEN vs. ARI

Troy Franklin came into this preseason surrounded by a ton of hype. He was a teammate of Bo Nix at Oregon and the duo was expected to come out swinging this summer. Nix looked fantastic when he played, but Franklin has been a disappointment.

There is some talk that he could be in danger of losing a roster spot, although the team would probably be hesitant to release a draft pick from this year‘s draft.

Franklin should be given every opportunity to go out in this game and put on a show to remind the team why they were so excited to draft him this past May. He is the first name. I will click as part of a stack to pair with Zach Wilson.

ALSO CONSIDER: Bub Means (NO), Kayshon Boutte (NE), Mitchell Tinsley (WSH), Brycen Tremayne (WSH), Devaughn Vele (DEN), Xavier Weaver (ARI)

Preseason NFL DFS Picks – Tight End

Cole Turner, WSH vs. NE

Washington is set with its top two tight ends in Zach Ertz and Ben Sinnott, but Cole Turner could be a surprise roster addition for the second straight year given his strong summer. The Commanders love to use the tight end near the goal line and as a safety valve for their quarterbacks. As long as he is on the field, Turner will be a threat as a dump-off option for Jeff Driskel and Trace McSorley

ALSO CONSIDER: Jaheim Bell (NE), Michael Jacobson (NO), David Martin-Robinson (TEN), Nate Adkins (DEN)

Thanks for checking this out, and good luck!
