ANALYSIS: Chicago Cubs' No. 3 prospect, Owen Caissie, continues to rake in the minors. In 2023, Caissie hit .289 with 22 home runs, 31 doubles, and 84 RBI in 120 games at Double-A. Now, this season at Triple-A, the left-handed slugger is hitting .277 with three HRs, eight doubles, and 21 RBI in just 35 games.

The Cubs have surely been impressed with Caissie over the past few years. However, it is likely a long shot that he sees any playing time with the major league team this season. With Cody Bellinger, Seiya Suzuki, and Ian Happ currently occupying the three outfield spots in Chicago, there just isn't anywhere for the 21-year-old to play immediately.
As a result, don't expect the Cubs to promote MLB Pipeline's No. 42 overall prospect this season. He is still only 21 years old, and Chicago will likely give him a full year at Triple-A before promoting him in 2025. That's why Caissie is a stash candidate in dynasty formats only right now.
