The Los Angeles Rams are promoting pass-rush coordinator and linebackers coach Chris Shula to defensive coordinator, according to league sources. Shula will be taking over for Raheem Morris, who left the team after three seasons as their defensive coordinator to become the next head coach of the Atlanta Falcons. Before the promotion, the Miami Dolphins were looking to interview Shula for the same position. Shula has been in LA with head coach Sean McVay since February of 2017, when he was hired as a defensive assistant. He was also a defensive quality control coach with the Los Angeles Chargers for two years before joining the Rams. The Rams defense ranked 22nd in total DVOA in 2023 after losing key players like cornerback Jalen Ramsey and linebacker Bobby Wagner last offseason. Shula is the grandson of late Hall of Fame coach Don Shula.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
