Tyjae Spears Could Return From Injured Reserve This Week
Tyjae Spears (ankle) is eligible to make his season debut in Week 5 against the Cardinals. The Titans are expected to open Spear's 21-day practice this window, giving the team three weeks to decide on when he will be activated. The third-year running back suffered a high ankle sprain in early August, so he has had almost two months to recover and could quickly work his way back into an offense badly in need of playmakers. The Titans' offense is currently dead last in total yards and points. Fellow running back Tony Pollard has been one of the team's most reliable contributors, and even in a full-time role, he has yet to make an impact on fantasy rosters. With Spears' return potentially creating more of a timeshare, neither back is an attractive option while the Titans work through their early-season struggles.
