Gabe Davis's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 14 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Gabe Davis for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in 10-plus Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: Boom-or-Bust WR3
ANALYSIS: Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis is coming off of one of his best games of the season, catching six of his 12 targets for 105 yards and a touchdown in last week's overtime loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. It was the second 100-yard game of the season for Davis and marked the third time in the past five games that Davis recorded 50-plus receiving yards.
That might all sound like a good thing until you factor in the other two games in that five-game span. Davis combined for two targets and zero receptions across those two contests.
Davis is a talented wide receiver who can make huge plays in the Buffalo passing game, but being completely blanked in two of the last four games is absolutely frightening for fantasy managers who really need someone in their lineup that they can trust at this point in the season.
Fantasy managers should view Davis as a boom-or-bust WR3 option. If you really need that "boom" because you lack that kind of upside elsewhere in your lineups, he's worth playing in 10-team leagues, but his incredibly low floor can pose issues.
