Chase Claypool Trending In The Wrong Direction
Chase Claypool (knee) missed his second straight practice of the week on Thursday. Claypool is now in danger of missing the Week 15 game against the Philadelphia Eagles after coming off the team's bye in Week 14. He'll need to put in some practice time on Friday to avoid being ruled out entirely. The 24-year-old saw six targets before the bye and is expected to become a much bigger part of the offense to close out the season, but he'll need to be healthy for that to happen. On top of it, head coach Matt Eberflus has acknowledged that Claypool still hasn't mastered the playbook. He'll be a risky WR4/flex this Sunday if he's active. If he's out, Equanimeous St. Brown would likely operate as the top pass-catcher, with Dante Pettis, rookie Velus Jones Jr. and N'Keal Harry also seeing bigger roles.
