Wide Receiver Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks for Fantasy Football Week 14 (2025)

Jerry Jeudy - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Justin's wide receiver start 'em, sit 'em picks for fantasy football Week 14 lineups (2025). Read his expert WR start/sit advice for Jerry Jeudy, DeVonta Smith, Pat Bryant, others.

One week after he appeared to be breaking out, Titans rookie wide receiver Chimere Dike caught just one pass for eight yards in a Week 13 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The performance was proof that one good week does not necessarily mean anything when projecting a player forward. They can easily go back to being a bust.

If you read my Fact or Fiction column earlier this week, you would have seen my start/sit advice for three wide receivers: Dontayvion Wicks, Adonai Mitchell, and Devaughn Vele. But why stop there? Why not talk about six more wide receivers?

Let's do it. Let's talk wideouts. Below are my Week 14 WR start 'em, sit 'em picks to help you figure out what to do with your fantasy football lineups in what's likely your final weekend of fantasy action before the fantasy football playoffs begin.

Week 14 Starts - Potential Fantasy Football Booms

Jerry Jeudy, Cleveland Browns

It's been a poor stretch of games for Jerry Jeudy, who has struggled since Shedeur Sanders took over at quarterback. However, this feels like a week where we might actually see some fireworks out of the Browns offense.

That's because Cleveland faces the Titans this weekend, a team that has been a pretty big disaster in all phases of the game. Tennessee ranks 32nd in scoring offense and 29th in scoring defense. The pass defense isn't as bad as the run defense, but it's still pretty bad.

Since taking over as the starter, Sanders has shown flashes, but has yet to put together a full game where he looks consistently solid. If it's going to happen -- and it might not -- then this is the week. Sanders faces a bad defense and has the extra motivation of facing fellow rookie quarterback Cameron Ward.

This is a risky play considering how Jeudy has played with Sanders at quarterback, but it could certainly pay off.

Jordan Addison, Minnesota Vikings

If there's ever a week for this Vikings offense to wake up and do something, this is the week as the team takes on the Washington Commanders.

Washington comes into this one having allowed the third-most passing yards and fifth-most passing touchdowns in the NFL. Last week, Bo Nix had his second 300-yard game of the season against Washington. The first, for reference, was against the Bengals, who've been historically bad on that side of the ball.

J.J. McCarthy's first season as the Vikings starting quarterback has been rough, but this is the perfect get-right opportunity for him. That should help wide receiver Jordan Addison have one of his best games of the season.

Addison's numbers have been all over the place. Last week, for example, he was targeted 10 times. The week before? Just once.  He has two 100-yard games this year, but not a single other game with over 50 receiving yards.

Fantasy managers are certainly frustrated by the lack of consistency coming from the third-year Viking, but this is a week where the upside outweighs the downside.

Pat Bryant, Denver Broncos

This one goes out to all of y'all who play in deep leagues. I could just as easily have written about why you should play Courtland Sutton or Troy Franklin, but I want to give some shine to Denver's No. 3 receiver ahead of an enticing contest against the Raiders, who allow the seventh-most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers.

The rookie out of Illinois had a quiet start to his NFL career, but he's come on strong over the last five games. Bryant has 40 or more receiving yards in four of those contests, a big improvement considering he didn't hit that mark at all over his first seven NFL games.

His volume is also spiking right now. Last week against the Commanders, Bryant saw a career-best seven targets, which happened one game after Bryant saw a career-best six targets. He was on the field for 70 percent of snaps against Washington, his highest snap rate ever.

Everything is starting to come together for Bryant at the right time. This meeting with Las Vegas offers a perfect opportunity for Bryant to continue this upward momentum and potentially post the best numbers of his career. If you're looking at your lineup and thinking "uhh, what do I do with this final flex spot," then think about playing Bryant, who remains on the waiver wire in almost all leagues.

(I should note here that Bryant has been limited at practice this week with a hamstring injury, but the fact that he's been at practice has me optimistic that he'll play. If he's out, both Sutton and Franklin get a boost, and Marvin Mims Jr. might have some DFS appeal in that scenario, though I wouldn't play Mims in season-long formats.)

Week 14 Concerns - Potential Fantasy Football Busts

DeVonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles

I could just as easily have listed A.J. Brown here. Philadelphia faces the Chargers this weekend, a team that allows fewer fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers than any other team in the NFL. You should not feel good about playing an Eagles receiver.

The reason I have Smith down as the player to avoid is that he's been prone to disappearing acts this season. Smith has three games with under 30 receiving yards. Brown has two such games, but both of those were in September.

All I know is this: Eagles pass-catchers get a big downgrade this weekend. Is it enough of a downgrade that you should bench a guy as talented as Smith? That's for you to decide, but he's definitely a top player to avoid in DFS.

Luther Burden III, Chicago Bears

The Bears won't have Rome Odunze this weekend. That might make you consider playing Luther Burden III, but maybe rethink that.

The rookie out of Missouri has broken the 50-yard mark three times this year, which is the same number of games in which he had under zero yards. That is not a typo. Burden has been extremely inconsistent.

Yes, he saw a season-high six targets last time out and could see more with Odunze sidelined, but let's also consider the difficulty of this weekend's matchup. Burden faces the Packers, who allow the 12th-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing receivers while giving up the sixth-fewest passing yards in the league.

Not everyone agrees that Burden is a bad play this week, though. For the other side of this argument, check out Adam Koffler's argument for why Burden will get double-digit targets in Week 14.

Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs

Xavier Worthy's second NFL season has been a disappointment. His yards per game are up slightly, but I do mean slightly, rising from 37.5 to 40.1. He's also only scored one touchdown after finding the end zone nine times -- six as a receiver and three as a runner -- as a rookie.

Speaking of touchdowns, the chance that Worthy gets one this week is low because the Houston Texans have the league's No. 1 scoring defense. The team has also allowed the fourth-fewest passing yards and second-fewest passing touchdowns.

If you want to trust Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes II for this matchup, I guess you can. Personally, I have Mahomes as a borderline top-10 play despite the fact that he has eight finishes of QB6 or better this year. Houston's defense is too scary. If you want to trust Rashee Rice and Travis Kelce as well, fine.

But Worthy is the No. 3 option at best in this passing attack as he heads into a nightmare matchup. There's no reason he should be in your Week 14 lineup.
