Who Should I Start for Fantasy Football Week 12? Tua Tagovailoa, Bo Nix, Jared Goff

Who should I start for Week 12? Fantasy football outlooks for Tua Tagovailoa, Bo Nix, Jared Goff. Our expert fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks.

As we gear up for Week 12, every lineup decision counts more than ever. With six teams on bye and playoff races heating up, choosing the right quarterback can make or break your week.

Fortunately, several signal-callers are in prime positions to deliver strong performances based on their recent form and matchups. This week, let's spotlight three QBs -- Tua Tagovailoa, Bo Nix, and Jared Goff -- with promising opportunities to shine in Week 12.

Here's how you should approach these players in your fantasy lineups.

Should I Start Tua Tagovailoa for Fantasy Football?

Tua Tagovailoa had a stellar performance in Week 11, throwing three touchdowns and amassing 288 yards while connecting on 28-of-36 passes in a 34-19 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

This contest marked the 2020 draft pick's season-high in touchdown passes and his highest yardage total since way back in Week 1. With trustworthy weapons like Tyreek Hill and Jonnu Smith hauling in scores, Tagovailoa is poised for continued success.

This week, the Alabama product faces the New England Patriots, who have allowed the ninth-most passing yards and 16 touchdowns through the air this season. The Patriots have also only recorded four interceptions. Tagovailoa is in a great spot to deliver another outstanding performance, making him a confident start in Week 12.

Should I Start Bo Nix for Fantasy Football?

Quarterback Bo Nix beat up on the Atlanta Falcons in Week 11, completing 28-of-33 passes for 307 yards and four scores in a dominant 38-6 victory.

The rookie hit career highs in passing yards and touchdowns while spreading the ball around to multiple receivers, including Marvin Mims Jr. and Troy Franklin.

Nix now sits as QB7 in fantasy football and has an enticing Week 12 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, who allow the eighth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. If the 24-year-old is still available in your league, add him immediately. His contest and current form make him a must-start QB1 this week.

Should I Start Jared Goff for Fantasy Football?

The quarterback of the Detroit Lions, Jared Goff, had his best fantasy outing of the season in Week 11. The California native torched the Jacksonville Jaguars with 412 passing yards and four touchdowns on an ultra-efficient 24-of-29 passing performance. His efforts propelled the Lions to a massive 52-6 victory. He even added 21 rushing yards to his stat line in that contest.

This week, the Lions face the Indianapolis Colts, a team giving up the ninth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. They have surrendered an average of 245.18 passing yards per game, the fifth-most passing yards in the league, and the seventh-most completions.

Goff, the NFL leader in yards per attempt, is set to keep the momentum rolling in this encouraging matchup. He is a safe start this week.
