Trey McBride fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 13 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Trey McBride for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: TE1
ANALYSIS: After an unremarkable start to the season, Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride has become a fantasy football revelation over the last five weeks. The 2022 second-round pick has at least seven targets in four of those five games and has hit the 60-yard mark three times. In total, he has amassed 33 receptions on 44 targets for 351 yards and a touchdown from Week 8 to Week 12.
Last week against the Los Angeles Rams, McBride played 86% of the snaps and hauled in seven of nine targets for 60 yards.
McBride (groin) watched practice Wednesday and was a limited participant on Thursday. With Zach Ertz released from the Cardinals Thursday morning, McBride is now the team's official TE1. He is making headway to be healthy enough to play on Sunday, according to several reports, but his progress should be monitored.
If available, McBride will have a favorable matchup against a Pittsburgh Steelers defense allowing 236 passing yards per game, which is 24th in the league. He is TE4 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings and should be in your lineup.
