BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: TE3
ANALYSIS: It's tough to know what you are going to get from New Orleans Saints do-it-all player Taysom Hill week in and week out. With 24 receptions, 214 receiving yards, and a touchdown catch; 57 rushes, 287 rushing yards, and three rushing touchdowns; and five completions for 72 yards and a passing touchdown -- Hill is unique. He's the NFL's version of a Swiss army knife.
In Week 12, the former BYU Cougar had seven carries for 26 yards and two receptions for 55 yards.
Hill has become more involved in the Saints offense over the past six weeks, hauling in 20 catches for 198 yards on 25 targets and racking up 167 yards on 34 carries. He has scored all three of his touchdowns over that span.
With the Saints receiving core extremely banged up, Hill should see his fair share of targets this week against the Detroit Lions. Michael Thomas is on the Injured Reserve with a knee injury. Chris Olave is in the NFL's concussion protocol and was limited at practice Wednesday and Thursday. Rashid Shaheed (thigh) has yet to practice this week.
Hill is TE5 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings and is a decent fantasy play against the Lions.
