Should I Bench Nick Chubb? Fantasy Football Outlook for Week 15

Nick Chubb - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Should I sit and bench Nick Chubb in Week 15 for fantasy football lineups? Read our Nick Chubb fantasy football outlook and if you should bench Nick Chubb.

Let's get these fantasy football playoffs started. Hopefully, you have at least one team still in the hunt for the trophy. This week, you may have a difficult decision regarding whether or not you should start certain players on your roster.

Nick Chubb, running back for the Cleveland Browns, has returned from a knee injury and has seen involvement in the offense. The problem is his production has been inconsistent.

With the Browns taking on the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 15 and Jerome Ford sharing touches with the veteran back, is it safe to start Chubb this week?

Should I Bench Nick Chubb for Fantasy Football?

The 28-year-old running back has yet to deliver steady production since returning to the field this season. In Week 14, Chubb ran 11 times, going for 48 yards in Cleveland's 27-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Additionally, he failed to catch his only target.

Jerome Ford continues to siphon touches, creating a frustrating split for fantasy managers. Currently, Chubb ranks as RB34 in RotoBaller's Half-PPR rankings, reflecting his declining value.

This week's contest with the Chiefs further complicates things. Kansas City has conceded the fewest fantasy points per game to running backs on the season. They have also allowed the fourth-fewest over the past four weeks.

Chubb has hit double-digit fantasy points in PPR leagues just twice in his last four games, making him difficult to trust in this must-win playoff matchup. While you can consider him for a flex spot in deep leagues, he should be on the bench in most shallower formats.

Who Should I Pickup in Week 15 Fantasy Football?

If you plan to bench the Georgia product, there could be viable alternatives on the waiver wire. Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis of the New York Jets are intriguing options, as both could see increased roles, with Breece Hall likely to miss Week 15. Sincere McCormick of the Las Vegas Raiders has shown promise and was named the starting RB in that offense.

Another option to look out for is Zach Charbonnet of the Seattle Seahawks. While he is rostered in a good majority of leagues, he is still available in some. Charbonnet has a more straightforward role and a better matchup this week, making him a good option for those looking for stability.

While benching a player like Chubb is never easy, the Chiefs have not surrendered many points to the position. With a timeshare backfield, finding a running back with an easier path to points would be in your favor.
