Zonovan Knight To Maintain A Big Role
2 years agoWhen asked about New York Jets rookie running back Zonovan Knight's role with Michael Carter (ankle) back, head coach Robert Saleh said, "He's not going anywhere." With Carter out in the Week 13 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, Knight had a a team-high 15 carries for 90 yards and caught all five of his targets for 28 yards to top 100 scrimmage yards for the second time in his first two NFL games. James Robinson and Ty Johnson combined for 11 touches, so it's clear that Knight will continue to have a role, even if Carter is back in Week 14 against the Buffalo Bills. It's bad news for Carter's fantasy value the rest of the way. Even in a tough matchup against Buffalo this Sunday, Knight could have RB2 upside if he continues as New York's lead back.
