Vikings Looking To Lean On Ty Chandler More
12 months agoThe Minnesota Vikings leaned on Alexander Mattison for most of the season. But following his absence in Week 15, Ty Chandler exploded for a career day. He rushed 23 times for 132 yards and one touchdown while catching three passes for 25 yards. That performance could help him land the Vikings top running back role moving forward. On Wednesday, head coach Kevin O'Connell also spoke highly of Chandler and said "We're kind of building with the mindset that Ty's going to be a guy that we're trying to get the ball to a lot, both in the run and pass." Even if Mattison, who's nursing an ankle injury, does play in Week 16, Chandler should remain heavily involved on offense.
