8 months agoBoston Red Sox manager Alex Cora said that infielder Vaughn Grissom (groin, hamstring) could start a minor-league rehab assignment on Friday. Meanwhile, outfielder Rob Refsnyder (toe) will start a rehab assignment with Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday. Grissom was forced to begin the 2024 season in his first year in Beantown on the injured list. When healthy, he was expected to serve as the team's primary second baseman, but with Trevor Story (shoulder) potentially out for the entire season now, Grissom is going to see work at the keystone and the 6 on his rehab assignment. Regardless of where the 23-year-old is playing up the middle, he should be guaranteed regular playing time once he makes his season debut in the big leagues and should be scooped up off the waiver wire right now if he's available in deep-mixed fantasy leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
