Tommy Edman Cleared For Baseball Activity
8 months agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Tommy Edman (wrist) was cleared by a doctor on Monday to start baseball activities. Edman will now restart his buildup that will essentially be the start of spring training for him, so the 28-year-old isn't going to make his 2024 debut for the Cardinals anytime soon. Outfield prospect Victor Scott II has been filling in at center field for St. Louis with Lars Nootbaar (ribs) and Dylan Carlson (shoulder) also hurt, but he's really struggling at the plate so far and could be sent back to the minors once Nootbaar is ready to return. Edman will be a lineup regular for the Cardinals when he's eventually fully healthy, making him a must-stash in all fantasy leagues.
