Packers Working On Fifth-Year Option Talks With Jordan Love
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said he's still working on the fifth-year option talks with quarterback Jordan Love. The Packers may be looking for some salary cap relief from Love in 2023 and 2024. Both sides have until Tuesday to get it done. Now that future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers is officially a New York Jet, Love is heading into his first season as Green Bay's starter under center after biding his time waiting and learning behind Rodgers. The 24-year-old only has 83 pass attempts in his three NFL seasons, but he impressed in limited action in 2022 and has the front office's and coaching staff's faith. Still, he needs to earn fantasy managers' faith before they consider him anything more than a low-end QB2 with upside.
