Nolan Arenado Headlines NL Gold Glove Winners
4 years agoColorado Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado was awarded his eighth Gold Glove award on Tuesday in as many seasons. His 15 defensive runs saved this year were three more than any player at the hot corner. Arenado's streak is the second-longest to start a career in MLB history, behind Ichiro Suzuki's 10. It's the third-longest streak all-time at the position, trailing only Hall of Famers Brooks Robinson and Mike Schmidt. The other National League winners included Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo, St. Louis Cardinals second baseman Kolten Wong, Cubs shortstop Javier Baez, Cardinals left fielder Tyler O'Neill, San Diego Padres center fielder Trent Grisham, Los Angeles Dodgers right fielder Mookie Betts, Cincinnati Reds catcher Tucker Barnhart and Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Max Fried.
