Alek Manoah Struggles in Rehab Outing on Wednesday
Alek Manoah (elbow) had a rough start for Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday. Manoah worked 1 2/3 innings, allowing two hits and three earned runs while walking three and hitting a batter. It was the first rehab outing for Manoah at the Triple-A level as he works his way back from the elbow surgery he underwent in June 2024. The 27-year-old has struggled throughout his rehab, allowing nine earned runs, 11 hits, and eight walks across seven total innings. Recent reports indicate that even when fully healthy, Manoah is unlikely to rejoin what has become a deep Blue Jays' starting rotation in 2025.
