It was a highly competitive fight, but Matsumoto adapted after the first round, gradually increasing his intensity. In the end, two judges scored the fight in favor of Matsumoto, while one judge gave the fight to Johns. In 15 minutes of action, Matsumoto landed 95 significant strikes.
