Bud Cauley and his playoff hopes looked bleak before last week. The American golfer had one Top 25 result in his previous seven events (three missed cuts). Fortunately, a Sunday 69 was enough for a T-14 that moved Cauley inside the Top 50 in FedEx Cup points. Now, he ranks 46th and needs a Top 5 or maybe better. That would potentially move him up the 16 spots he needs. In his last five starts, Cauley has done little outstanding and his strokes gained to putting is only 0.046. His birdie or better conversion percentage ranks 37th overall at 33.24%.
