Michael Rasmussen Likely to Miss Rest of Regular Season
Detroit Red Wings forward Michael Rasmussen (lower body) will likely miss the rest of the 2025-26 regular season, Bob Duff of Detroit Hockey Now reports. In his third game back in the lineup, he aggravated a lower-body injury during Tuesday's defeat to Columbus. After the game, Red Wings head coach Todd McLellan told reporters that Rasmussen will miss "a few more games." Detroit has four more regular-season games remaining, with the team's playoff chances fading fast. Rasmussen is set to finish the campaign with his lowest scoring total in five years. He has produced 14 points (six goals, eight assists) in 64 contests. We will likely see Dominik Shine return to the lineup as Rasmussen's replacement on Thursday against Philadelphia.
