Mike Williams Says He's Fully Healthy
1 year agoLos Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams (back), who suffered a fracture in his back in Week 18 last year and was forced to sit out the wild-card loss to the Jaguars, said he was medically cleared "a couple weeks after the season" and declared himself to be healthy during the team's two-day minicamp this week. The 28-year-old was also limited by an ankle injury late last season, and he finished with 63 catches (93 targets) for 895 yards and four touchdowns in 13 starts. Williams broke out with his second 1,000-yard season in 2021 and posted a career-high nine TDs. Injuries are an issue, as well as more competition for deep targets from first-round rookie Quentin Johnston in 2023. However, the Chargers figure to be going deep often, so Williams could still be a solid fantasy target as a high-end WR3.
