8/17:Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon stayed away from organized team activities in the spring and altered his preparations for this season in order to stay fresh and healthy. A nagging knee injury slowed him down in 2017. When he began to heal towards the end of the year, Gordon finished as the league's seventh leading rusher with a career-high 1,105 yards and eight touchdowns. He also caught 58 passes for 476 yards and didn't fumble until the season finale. With his fifth-year option already picked up, Gordon is looking to have a big season and expects to receive a boost from center Mike Pouncey. Gordon should also be utilized more in the passing game in head coach Anthony Lynn's offense, making him a fine pick at the back end of the first round as an RB1.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
