3 years agoBoston Red Sox utility man Marwin Gonzalez (hamstring) won't be available on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Angels. Gonzalez left the game early on Monday with right hamstring tightness and was also unavailable on Tuesday. Boston is short on depth with outfielder Danny Santana likely to need an injured list stint before the All-Star break. Gonzalez has mostly been bench depth on a loaded Red Sox team this year, and he hasn't been doing much with the bat when he's been in games, totaling just two home runs, 18 RBI and three steals to go with a meager .206/.287/.298 slash line in 218 at-bats. The 32-year-old veteran has really only been useful for bench depth in AL-only leagues so far in 2021.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
