Robby Snelling Strikes Out Nine Over Six Innings
Robby Snelling took a tough luck loss on Wednesday as he allowed two runs (zero earned) on three hits and two walks while striking out nine against Triple-A Norfolk. Snelling pitched well overall, generating 13 whiffs on 45 swings and not allowing a ton of hard contact with an 86.6 MPH average exit velocity. The lefty has been lights out since being promoted to Triple-A Jacksonville on July 10, allowing only seven runs (five earned) across 33.2 innings with a 43:7 K:BB ratio. Snelling is young for the level at 21 years old and has looked great so far. He'll look to continue his strong performance and possibly earn a late-season call-up when rosters expand.
