Chicago Bears center Lucas Patrick (thumb) suffered a broken thumb in training camp and is expected to require surgery. According to head coach Matt Eberflus, there is no timetable for his return to action. Rookie center Doug Kramer got reps with the first-team offense in Patrick's absence, so he could be relied on to fill in the hole until he is back. Sam Mustipher could be an option as well, so it remains to be seen how the work will be split up. With Tampa Bay Buccaneers center Ryan Jensen (knee) suffering a potentially season-ending injury and Patrick now out indefinitely, we could see some free agent centers like JC Tretter and Matt Paradis find new homes during training camp.--Tommy Adamopoulos - RotoBallerRead More News
