Latavius Murray To Operate As Lead Back In Week 12
2 years agoDenver Broncos running back Latavius Murray (wrist) was removed from the Week 12 injury report on Friday and will play on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, a defense that is allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to RBs per game in half-point PPR settings this year. The Broncos waived Melvin Gordon III and Chase Edmonds (ankle) is on Injured Reserve, so Murray should benefit as the unquestioned lead back for the Broncos this weekend. In his five games with Denver, Murray has 63 carries for 209 yards (3.3 yards per carry) and three touchdowns, adding 11 catches for 56 yards. The 32-year-old is slightly more attractive as an RB3/flex in fantasy lineups, but his lack of efficiency in one of the league's worst offenses shouldn't inspire much confidence, even in a good matchup.
