Kliff Kingsbury Withdraws From Offensive-Coordinator Job
10 months agoFormer Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury has withdrawn himself from consideration for the offensive-coordinator job of the Las Vegas Raiders, according to his agent, Erik Burkhardt. Sources said on Thursday that Kingsbury was expected to be hired under head coach Antonio Pierce. The 44-year-old Kingsbury was one of four candidates who interviewed for the position in the last two weeks, including Luke Getsy, Alex Van Pelt and Mike Sullivan. Van Pelt was since hired as the New England Patriots' offensive coordinator. Kingsbury worked last year with USC quarterback Caleb Williams, the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner and the expected first overall pick in this year's draft. It remains to be seen who the Raiders will pivot to now to run their offense in 2024.
