Kirk Cousins a Risky Play in Tough Week 4 Matchup
Oct 2, 2026, 4:46 PM ET
Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins has been a surprise success through three weeks, but will face his toughest test in Week 4 when the Kansas City Chiefs visit Sin City. The veteran signal-caller is tied for the most TD passes through Week 3 (nine), adding a 67.4% completion rate for 661 yards and just three interceptions. Though Cousins has an 8:1 TD:INT ratio against the Chiefs in his career, he is also 0-5 against them. Plus, Kansas City boasts a top-10 defense that is allowing just 178.3 passing yards per game. Cousins is still a solid waiver-wire add in two-quarterback fantasy leagues, but is a very high-risk play against this tough divisional opponent. Fantasy managers in standard formats should consider better matchups for their Sunday slates.--Chelena GoldmanSource: Pro Football Focus

Breakout Time For Jauan Jennings In Week 4?
Nick Piotrowicz
Nick Piotrowicz
Oct 2, 2026, 4:46 PM ET
It has been a quiet beginning of the season for Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jauan Jennings, but he could have a new opening when the team plays host to the Miami Dolphins now that star Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson (ankle) has been ruled out. The veteran receiver played 80% of offensive snaps last week after Jefferson departed, but the bigger issue is that the Vikings' passing game has struggled immensely. Minnesota ranks last in the NFL in net yards per attempt, though they face a Dolphins defense that has allowed points on half of opponents' possessions. The matchup looks great, and Jennings should see an uptick in snaps, but the state of the Vikings' passing offense is likely too risky for most formats until quarterback Kyler Murray clicks with his new team. Jennings has a pathway to more involvement, but as RotoBaller's No. 63 receiver this week, he's likely best saved for deeper formats.--Nick PiotrowiczSource: RotoBaller
Carolina Panthers Defense Face Uphill Battle in Week 4

The Carolina Panthers defense is in for a rude awakening in Week 4 when it hosts a potent Detroit Lions offense on Sunday Night Football. Carolina is already allowing a league-high 193.3 rushing yards per game and six touchdowns on the ground this season. Now both nose tackles Lee Hunter (foot) and Cam Jackson (knee) are listed as questionable for Sunday, which will make it even harder to contain the Jahmyr Gibbs-led Lions ground game. The Panthers have been good at containing the pass, but the Lions will surely lean on the ground game and exploit the host's weaknesses in Week 4. Sit Carolina's defense for this rough matchup in Charlotte.--Chelena GoldmanSource: Joe Person via X.com
Wayward Vikings Offense Limits Potential For T.J. Hockenson

Oct 2, 2026, 4:41 PM ET
The past few weeks have been a major struggle for the Minnesota Vikings offense, which dims the outlook for T.J. Hockenson ahead of a Week 4 matchup against the Miami Dolphins. Currently, Minnesota ranks dead last in the NFL in total yards, passing first downs, and net yards per attempt, which makes the whole passing operation difficult to trust. Hockenson could see an uptick in usage now that star receiver Justin Jefferson (ankle) will miss the game, though the same circumstances didn't amount to much last week in Tampa Bay, as quarterback Kyler Murray looked skittish in his first full game of the season. With nine catches in three games, Hockenson is performing as a TE2, which is how he should likely be viewed again this week. He's ranked as RotoBaller's No. 23 tight end for Week 4.--Nick PiotrowiczSource: RotoBaller
Darren Waller a Priority Streaming Option in Week 4

The Carolina Panthers' receiver room is battling injuries, but tight end Darren Waller should see more targets in Week 4. Waller was dealing with a toe injury leading up to Week 4, but was off the injury list and a full practice participant on Friday. The veteran has hauled in 10 receptions on 13 targets for 112 yards this season, and his target share should spike in Week 4 since receiver Xavier Legette (knee) is out and Jalen Coker (quad) is questionable to play. Detroit has struggled to contain tight ends this season and is allowing a league-high 299.3 passing yards per game. Even if Coker plays, Waller is a priority streaming option against a struggling Detroit D.--Chelena GoldmanSource: ESPN
Dallas Goedert Officially Ruled Out for Week 4

Oct 2, 2026, 4:38 PM ET
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert (knee) has officially been ruled out for his team's Week 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, per Zach Berman of The Athletic. Goedert suffered a sprained MCL in Week 2 and was given a multi-week return timeline at the time of the injury, so it's not a surprise that he will return to action in Week 4. The Eagles did not place Goedert on Injured Reserve, which indicates that the team thinks he has a chance to return within four games of the injury. However, Week 4 will be his second straight game on the sidelines, and he's not guaranteed to return in Week 5 either. Philadelphia will also be without star wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) on Sunday, leaving the team down its two top pass-catchers. Eagles wideouts Dontayvion Wicks and Makai Lemon are likely to see increased workloads, and tight end Zach Ertz could be a deep-league streamer option for fantasy managers in Week 4.--Will BradySource: The Athletic - Zach Berman
Will Reichard Brings Starting Potential In Week 4

Oct 2, 2026, 4:37 PM ET
Minnesota Vikings kicker Will Reichard can be considered a solid starting option when his team plays host to the Miami Dolphins in Week 4. So far, the All-Pro kicker has been excellent, hitting all seven of his field goal attempts and all six of his extra points to rank fourth among fantasy kickers. The Vikings' offense is coming off one of its worst offensive stretches since it hired head coach Kevin O'Connell in 2022, but the Dolphins have struggled in virtually every area, and they rank 27th against fantasy kickers. Minnesota's blueprint of harassing opposing teams with exotic blitzes and doing just enough on offense hasn't been pretty, but it's keeping Reichard playable in any format that starts a kicker. He's ranked as RotoBaller's No. 10 kicker for Week 4.--Nick PiotrowiczSource: RotoBaller
Tetairoa McMillan Has High Upside in Week 4

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan could get more work in Week 4 against the Detroit Lions, which could help him rebound from a quiet Week 3 performance. McMillan caught just 2-of-5 targets for a measly 17 yards in a 21-18 loss to the Cleveland Browns, but his target share should go up with fellow wideout Xavier Legette (knee) ruled out and Jalen Coker (quad) listed as questionable. Detroit's passing defense is allowing a league-high 299.3 yards per game, which opens the door for Bryce Young to find McMillan downfield early and often. The former first-round pick is a high-upside WR2 in Week 4.--Chelena GoldmanSource: ESPN
Huge Potential For Minnesota Vikings D/ST Against Lowly Dolphins
Nick Piotrowicz
Nick Piotrowicz
Oct 2, 2026, 4:35 PM ET
With the winless Miami Dolphins set to visit U.S. Bank Stadium, the Minnesota Vikings D/ST is the top-ranked option in fantasy football this week. The Vikings have been an absolute force on defense so far this season, recording pressures on an absurd 40% of passing downs through three games. Minnesota has compiled 14 sacks and allowed a completion percentage of 50.6%, both of which lead the NFL. Additionally, the Vikings' return game has shown life, as Myles Prices' punt return for a touchdown last week proved invaluable in a victory at Tampa Bay. The Dolphins, meanwhile, have scored just three offensive touchdowns and finished 28.6% of their possessions with points, which ranks tied for 28th in the league. Miami also lost their only star offensive player to injury, as running back De'Von Achane (knee) is out for the season. The Vikings should be locked in as a starter in any format that plays a defense.--Nick PiotrowiczSource: RotoBaller

The table is set for Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard to have a big Week 4 against the Detroit Lions. Hubbard has had a steady start to his 2026 campaign after a thigh/hamstring strain in the preseason, but he broke out in Week 3 with 19 carries for 93 yards and a receiving touchdown. The Lions are allowing 117.3 rushing yards per game and have allowed the most explosive plays through Week 3 (8.8%). Plus, his versatile offensive playing abilities give Bryce Young another target against a Detroit defense that is allowing the most passing yards in the NFL this season. Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (back) is off the injury report and good to go for his team's Week 4 matchup against the Tennessee Titans, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. Jackson popped up on the Ravens' injury report as a limited practice participant on Wednesday due to a back issue. However, the 29-year-old practiced in full on both Thursday and Friday and will be on the field for Baltimore on Sunday. Across the first three weeks of the 2026 season, Jackson has completed 69.7% of his pass attempts for 745 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception while also rushing for 124 yards and a touchdown on 17 attempts. Now that he's officially active, Jackson profiles as a high-end QB1 option for fantasy managers against Tennessee in Week 4.--Will BradySource: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young has a shot at a bounce-back performance when his team faces the Detroit Lions on Sunday night. The former first-overall draft pick led the league with 939 passing yards after Week 3, but also completed just 54.2% of his passes for 291 yards with one touchdown and one interception in a 21-18 loss to the Cleveland Browns. He was also nursing a knee injury following the loss, but was a full participant at Friday's practice. Week 4 offers a golden opportunity to right the ship, given the Lions have allowed the most passing yards per game (299.3) and the second-most passing touchdowns (9) to start the 2026 season. Young is QB10 in RotoBaller's position ranking, and the upcoming matchup makes him a must-start for Week 4.--Chelena GoldmanSource: ESPN
Cincinnati Bengals Defense Could Be In Trouble In Week 4

The Cincinnati Bengals defense will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars at home in Week 4. The Bengals just came off a game where they gave up 30 points in a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. They will now face a strong Jaguars offense while being banged up on defense. Swayze Bozeman, Bryan Cook, and B.J. Hill are all questionable to play this Sunday. Safety Kyle Dugger has been listed out for the matchup. The Jaguars have scored at least 34 points twice this season and they may be in line to do it again. In a game with the highest over/under of the week, it will be difficult to trust the Bengals defense in lineups. The Cincinnati defense is ranked 24th in our RotoBaller Week 4 rankings, making them an avoidable unit this Sunday.--Joshua CostelloSource: Bengals.com
Zay Flowers Limited in Practice on Friday, Questionable to Play in Week 4

Oct 2, 2026, 4:26 PM ET
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers (hamstring) is officially listed as questionable to play in his team's Week 4 matchup against the Tennessee Titans, per Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic. Flowers practiced in full on Wednesday and Thursday, but he was downgraded to limited on Friday and will now carry an injury designation into the weekend. The 26-year-old injured his hamstring in Week 1 and missed Week 2 as a result. While Flowers returned for Baltimore's Week 3 win over the Dallas Cowboys, he was on a snap count. If Flowers is active in Week 4, it seems likely that Baltimore would continue to be cautious with his workload. Flowers has been remarkably productive despite the nagging injury, recording 10 catches for 234 yards and a touchdown on 12 targets across two games. He remains a must-start wide receiver if active, but fantasy managers may want to downgrade their expectations slightly for Week 4.--Will BradySource: The Athletic - Jeff Zrebiec
Evan McPherson Should Be A Strong Play In Week 4

Oct 2, 2026, 4:25 PM ET
Cincinnati Bengals kicker Evan McPherson had another strong performance in last week's 27-30 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Despite the loss, McPherson was able to knock through all of his kicks, including two field goals and three extra-point attempts. The Bengals kicker is yet to miss a single kick this season and should have more opportunities to score this weekend against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars offense has been hot to start 2026 and should be able to score against Cincinnati. If the Bengals are chasing points in this week's game, McPherson could be involved in them catching up. McPherson is ranked K3 in our RotoBaller Week 4 rankings, making him one of the best options to start at the kicker position this week. Fantasy managers should tune in to see if McPherson can stay perfect this Sunday.--Joshua CostelloSource: ESPN.com
Samaje Perine More Of A Stash Than A Start In Week 4

Oct 2, 2026, 4:24 PM ET
Cincinnati Bengals running back Samaje Perine will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars at home in Week 4. After getting eight touches on offense in the season opener, Perine has yet to touch the ball more than four times in any game. The veteran back put up just 14 total yards on four touches in last week's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, marking his worst fantasy performance of the year. Perine will look to bounce back in a high-scoring game against the Jacksonville Jaguars this week. The Jaguars defense could be a difficult matchup for Perine given their strong play so far this season and his limited role in the offense. Perine will not have a lot of chances to make an impact in this week's contest and the Jaguars may be able to stifle any opportunities he does get. Perine is ranked RB55 in our RotoBaller Week 4 PPR rankings, making him a very low-end option at running back this week. Fantasy managers should view Perine as more of a handcuff/stash candidate rather than a start-worthy back.--Joshua CostelloSource: ESPN.com
Mike Gesicki Is A Boom Or Bust Tight End For Week 4

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Mike Gesicki put on a good performance last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Gesicki caught three passes for 37 yards and a touchdown in the 27-30 loss in Week 3. The previous week, the veteran tight end pulled a Houdini and disappeared from the Bengals offense. Gesicki finished their Week 2 matchup with zero catches on zero targets after leading the team in receiving during the season opener. Gesicki will get another chance to pop off this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars defense is strong, but their offense may be even stronger. If Jacksonville is able to put up points against the Bengals defense, this game may turn into a track meet. With the highest over/under of the week, there should be plenty of points to go around in this contest. Gesicki is ranked TE24 in our RotoBaller Week 4 PPR rankings, making him a boom-or-bust TE2 at home on Sunday. Fantasy managers should be able to find better options, but Gesicki could be a worthy dart throw in a high-scoring game.--Joshua CostelloSource: ESPN.com

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams, according to Brooks Kubena. Smith didn't practice this week after playing through the injury Monday night against Chicago, when he caught six passes for 65 yards. Philadelphia will now be without its most heavily targeted receiver. Smith has 27 targets, 19 receptions, 235 yards, and one touchdown through three games, leading the Eagles in each of the first three categories. Dontayvion Wicks and rookie Makai Lemon should both have more on their plates with Smith unavailable. Wicks has already been productive with 179 receiving yards through three games, while Lemon has seven catches on nine targets. Smith's Week 4 absence is official, with his availability beyond Sunday still something fantasy managers will need to monitor.--Bruno MuléSource: Brooks Kubena
Tee Higgins Could Go Off Against Jaguars
Joshua Costello

Oct 2, 2026, 4:19 PM ET
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins is coming off his best performance of the season in last week's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Higgins racked up six catches for 90 yards and a touchdown in the 27-30 loss in Week 3. The Bengals WR2 can easily finish any week as a fantasy WR1 given the potency of this offense. Higgins will have the opportunity to go off again this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars defense has been strong to start the year, but the duo of Ja'Marr Chase and Higgins is arguably the best one-two punch at wide receiver in the league. Higgins could also be heavily involved because of the strength of the Jaguars offense. Through the first three weeks, the Jacksonville offense has actually scored more points than the Bengals, so Cincinnati could be chasing points in this game. Higgins is ranked WR14 in our RotoBaller Week 4 PPR rankings, making him a borderline WR1/strong WR2 in this matchup. Fantasy managers should be excited about having a wideout in what should be a high-scoring game.--Joshua CostelloSource: ESPN.com
Chase Brown Could Struggle Again In Week 4

Oct 2, 2026, 4:18 PM ET
Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown will face a tough Jacksonville Jaguars defense at home in Week 4. Brown opened the season with a strong performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but it has been downhill ever since mostly due to touchdowns. The Bengals RB1 has not eclipsed 82 total yards in any contest this year and scored his lone touchdown back in Week 1. Despite strong utilization on the ground and in the pass game, Brown has not been able to translate it into fantasy production. In Brown's defense, he faced the Houston Texans and Pittsburgh Steelers in his last two games. Both of those teams have better run defenses than pass defenses, leaving Brown to take a backseat to Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. The bad news is Brown will face another tough run defense in the Jaguars. Brown will likely get volume again, but it remains to be seen if he can put up better results. Brown is ranked RB13 in our RotoBaller Week 4 PPR rankings, making him a low-end RB1/RB2 heading into the weekend. Fantasy managers should be excited for the potential of this game to be high-scoring, but Brown could be the odd man out in the Bengals offense this week.--Joshua CostelloSource: ESPN.com

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving (glute) is off the final injury report and has no game designation for Sunday's matchup with the Green Bay Packers. Irving was limited Wednesday and Thursday after the injury became an issue coming out of last week's game against Minnesota, but he was back on the field Friday and appeared to be moving without trouble during the portion open to reporters. He has 40 carries for 180 yards and one touchdown through three games, along with 13 catches for 61 yards. RotoBaller has Irving at RB19 for Week 4. The glute injury was worth monitoring after two limited practices to begin the week, but the absence of a final designation means fantasy managers can plan on having Irving available Sunday.--Bruno MuléSource: Greg Auman
