Jorge Soler Reuniting With Braves
5 months agoThe Atlanta Braves struck a deal with the San Francisco Giants on Monday to bring back outfielder/designated hitter Jorge Soler, per MLB.com. The Braves will also receive another familiar name in relief pitcher Luke Jackson, while the Giants will receive left-handed reliever Tyler Matzek and Minor League infielder Sabin Ceballos. Soler was traded to the Braves in 2021 and helped fuel a playoff run, earning World Series Most Valuable Player honors. He has put together a respectable offensive season, slashing .240/.330/.419 with 12 home runs, 57 runs scored, and 40 RBI in 392 plate appearances. Soler will provide offensive and positional support to a Braves lineup that is dealing with several key outfield injuries. Even so, he will be moving to a stronger lineup and out of pitcher-friendly Oracle Park, hopefully boosting his power production.
