Jordan Love Could Start Games Down The Stretch
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst hinted on Monday that quarterback Jordan Love could make some starts to close out the season, referring to "offseason decisions" awaiting him. Gutekunst said he does not need to see Love play more in the final four games to reach a solid evaluation of the young QB, and he thinks Love is ready to be a starting-caliber QB in the NFL. The Packers have yet to be mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, but there could be discussions for Love to play if that happen, something Rodgers said he'd approach with an "open mind" without holding bitterness or resentment. Rodgers is also dealing with bruised ribs and a fractured right thumb, so it would make sense to rest him if the Packers are eliminated. Green Bay has a bye in Week 14, but Love could make a couple starts to close out the 2022 season.
