J.T. Realmuto Getting A Day Off Against Seattle
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto is not in the team's starting lineup against the Seattle Mariners on Thursday. It appears to just be a normal day of rest for Realmuto in a matinee contest after a night affair. When on the field, Realmuto is an elite fantasy catching option. He's currently hitting .259 (22-for-85) with six doubles, a triple, two home runs, eight RBI, four stolen bases and eight runs scored in 90 plate appearances across his first 22 games of the 2023 season. With the 32-year-old backstop getting a breather Thursday, Garrett Stubbs will do the catching and hit ninth in the order against Mariners right-hander George Kirby.
