Gregory Polanco Remains Out Saturday
3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Gregory Polanco (hip) remains out of the starting lineup on Saturday against the Milwaukee Brewers. It will be Polanco's fourth straight game on the sidelines as he deals with right hip inflammation. The left-handed hitter made an appearance as a pinch-hitter on Friday, so it doesn't seem like his injury is that serious. The 29-year-old does have nine home runs and eight stolen bases on the season, but he's also hitting just .195/.272/.359 in 220 at-bats and isn't a must-hold in deep mixed leagues. Jared Oliva receives his second straight start in right field on Saturday and will hit eighth against Brewers left-hander Eric Lauer. Oliva is hitless in his five big league at-bats this year and has three singles in 21 career plate appearances with the Pirates the last two years.
