Fernando Tatis Jr. Hitting .436 Since Return
6 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. went 10-for-19 (.526 average) over the four-game weekend series against the Colorado Rockies. Tatis enjoyed his first trip to Coors Field, ripping three triples, two doubles and collecting 10 runs-plus-RBI. After missing a month with a hamstring injury, the 20-year-old phenom is hitting an absurd .436 with eight extra-base hits since his return, raising his slash to .338/.392/.626 with eight homers and eight steals. Tatis has exceeded the Padres lofty expectations by any metric and already emerged as an everyday, five-category fantasy star.
