Dolphins Sign Gavin Escobar
7 years agoThe Miami Dolphins signed free-agent tight end Gavin Escobar to an undisclosed deal on Monday. Escobar was a former second-round pick by the Cowboys and was released by the Browns last week. He caught only 30 passes for 333 yards and eight touchdowns in his four years in Dallas, mainly backing up Jason Witten. Escobar is expected to compete with tight ends A.J. Derby, MarQueis Gray and Thomas Duarte in training camp. The team could also address the position in the draft, meaning Escobar's spot on the roster is definitely not guaranteed.
