Commanders Happy With Their Quarterback Situation
2 years agoThe Washington Commanders continue to say that they are happy with their current quarterback situation despite their recent visit with University of Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker. As things stand now, second-year QB Sam Howell will compete with veteran Jacoby Brissett for the starting gig in 2023. Howell, a fifth-rounder last year, impressed the coaches and his teammates all of last season. Hooker was impressive in college, but he's 25 years old and coming off a torn ACL, which means he'll likely come off the board in the second round of next week's NFL draft. Even if Hooker is selected by Washington, he'll likely be asked to sit and learn for a year while recovering from his serious knee injury last year.
