Brooks Lee Hits First Home Run Of The Season
6 months agoMinnesota Twins shortstop prospect Brooks Lee (back) went 3-for-6 with a home run for Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday. In his sixth game back from injury, the 23-year-old launched his first homer of the season. In those six games with St. Paul, Lee is hitting .333 with a .907 OPS and four RBI. The No. 2 overall prospect for the Twins told MLB.com that his game is about hitting for average, but the home run is a welcome sign. Between three levels last year, Lee hit 16 homers with 84 RBI and a .275 batting average. If Lee can demonstrate he is back to full health at Triple-A, a promotion could be in the cards at some point this season. His plus-hit tool should play at the big-league level, making him a high-priority add if and when he does get the call.
