Bengals Could Take Running Back In The Draft
2 years agoESPN's Ben Baby says not to be surprised if the Cincinnati Bengals take a running back in this year's draft. Starter Joe Mixon is at risk of being a salary cap casualty with off-the-field issues ongoing, and they can't continue to afford paying premium dollars at the RB position. The Bengals are best-suited to add a starting-caliber running back this year to offset the potential costs of giving contract extensions to quarterback Joe Burrow and wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Cincinnati has the No. 28 pick in the first round this year, and they also have pick Nos. 60 and 92 in the early going, so they could easily address the position with any of those selections next week.
