Anything Possible With Texans At No. 2 Overall
2 years agoIt feels like anything is possible with the Houston Texans at No. 2 overall in the first round of this year's NFL draft on Thursday night. "No one knows what they are doing," an NFC executive said. Both the Texans and Arizona Cardinals at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively, are candidates to trade out, but it's hardly a slam dunk a deal will be there to be done. Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud would be hard to pass up, and Kentucky's Will Levis had a positive pre-draft meeting with Houston. But it also appears the Texans are open to taking a defensive player at No. 2, and multiple executives expect both Houston and Arizona to lean defense. If Houston goes defense, they'd likely take either Alabama's Will Anderson Jr. or Texas Tech's Tyree Wilson.
