Right-handed reliever AJ Ramos has inked a Minor League deal to join the Chicago Cubs, just a day after having been released by the Dodgers. Ramos last appeared in the Majors in 2018 as a member of the Mets, but was an All-Star as recently as ‘16 with Miami, when he compiled a 2.81 ERA to go along with 40 saves. The Cubs’ bullpen has been a weak spot this year, entering play Sunday with a 5.68 ERA, the fourth-lowest mark in the Majors. There is seemingly no limitation on the role that Ramos could play, but check back for an update on when he’ll officially join the big league club.--Jesse Borek
